CEES is delighted to announce that it has received a grant from the Packard Foundation to support CEES biochar research and activities. The funding will support: (1) development of a North American Biochar Initiative to serve as a coordinating and enabling entity for U.S. biochar activities and groups, with a equal emphasis on both the policy and scientific dimensions of biochar; and (2) a report that explores the potential benefits for biochar application at the U.S. national level.
